Helping a Girl Scout Earn Her Textile Artist Badge

The Guild received a wonderful “Thank you” email from a Mom about her daughter’s excitement and journey towards earning her Girl Scout badge in Textile Artist. As you will see from the note, her daughter used our website’s page on Resources in doing her work. I have added the suggested new resource link to our website.

Here is her note: I hope you’re having a great day so far! I’m reaching out because the Country Crossroads Quilt Guild site was really helpful for my daughter, Aubrey, who is trying to earn her Textile Artist Girl Scout badge!

Aubrey has loved her Girl Scout journey so far and is taking it very seriously. It’s so awesome to see her try new things and learn new skills while really enjoying it at the same time! She is especially enjoying to learn to quilt… I’m a quilter myself so I love that she’s taking an interest in this! I’m going to try to find a class we can both take at a local community center or library… maybe we’ll even start a business together some day. 🙂

We both wanted to say thank you for putting the site together. The Resources page is fantastic: https://countrycrossroadsquiltguild.com/resources/

It has some great resources that were helpful to Aubrey for her work towards her badge and her new found passion!

We were actually able to spend some time together last night to look for some more resources together.. here’s one of our favorites that we came across: https://naplab.com/guides/bedroom-blankets/

Aubrey is really excited to show her leader the resource we found… and it would be a special bonus if you were able to add it to the site too! Would you be willing to add it to the Resources page?

Let me know.. her meeting is this coming Wednesday evening… any chance you could add it by then? 🙂 We really hope this can be useful to other scouts, individuals, and families!

Thanks again for your help,
