November Guild Meeting

Our next guild meeting will be Monday, November 18th. We will start with our Holiday Potluck at 6 p.m. Join us, bring a dish to pass and your own tableware; drinks are provided. Or come just for the program at 7 p.m., which will be will be presented by Jill Shaulis of Yellow Creek Quilt Designs, located in Pearl City, IL. Her lecture will be “Through The Years At Yellow Creek Quilt Designs.” She is the designer of the Kindred Spirits fabric collection and pattern club. Jill lectures and teaches around the country, and has had many patterns published in magazines. We hope to see you!

October Guild Meeting

Our October meeting will be Monday, the 21st at 7 pm. The evening program will be presented by Laura Keyes. You won’t want to miss this program!

Have you met Laura Ingalls Wilder? Not the girl from the books, and not the woman from television-this is the real Laura Wilder. In this presentation you will hear the real history of Laura Ingalls Wilder, and discover the times, places, and the people who inspired her wonderful books. The beloved Little House books are based on Laura’s life but they are fiction. This program explores the real life of Laura Ingalls Wilder with all its hardships and tragedies.

August Guild Meeting

Our next guild meeting will meet on Monday, August 19 at 6 p.m. for our Summer Picnic Potluck. Come join us bring a dish to pass and own tableware. The program at 7 p.m. will be Doll House Miniatures by our President Beth Kalbfus. She has been making miniatures for 45years, and had her own shop called Little Houses in Springfield, OH.

July Guild Meeting

Our next guild meeting will meet July 15 with a “Meet and Greet” from 6:30-7 p.m. with refreshments. Beginning at 7 p.m. our program for the evening will be Shelley Johnson of Sunshine Stitches of Belvidere, IL. She will be doing a trunk show and talking about her journey becoming a quilt shop owner. We hope to see you there!

May Guild Meeting

Join us on May 20, 2019 at 7 p.m. for our program, it will be “Challenges-Accept the Challenge & Win a Prize” presented by Diane Murtha of Bettendorf, IA. Her lecture is a trunk and slide show talking about her experiences with quilt challenges-tips and tricks. An informative and humorous perspective on her quilt challenge experiences, including a trunk and slide show. She will discuss what to do, what not to do, how to find them, and most importantly how challenges can expand your quilting skills and inspire all your quilting.

March Guild Meeting

Do you sit at your sewing machine for too long? Our program on March 18, 2019 at 7 pm will be given by Chelsy Jones of Athletico (Physical Therapy). She will be showing us how to sit and how long before we need to get up and move around, how to work out the tension in our neck and shoulders, and combating stiffness.
