January Quilt Guild Meeting

Join us on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 7 p.m. for our next guild meeting. The program is Every quilt has a story behind it–why you made it, who it was made by or for, etc. Wouldn’t it be something if in 100 years someone discovers a quilt with your name on it? At our January program, Ruth Whitney and Carol Bellows will be sharing many ideas and suggestions for quilt labels.

March Guild Meeting

Our guild meeting & all activities scheduled for Monday, March 16 have been CANCELED due to concerns of the coronavirus. We will revisit the situation in April.

Join us for our next guild meeting on March 16 at 7 pm. The program, “My Favorite 3-D’s: Dresden’s Diamonds & Drunkards Paths” will be presented by Lori Dickman of Rockford IL. A trunk show features over 30 of Lori’s quilt designs with styles that will cover every quilter’s favorites: from traditional to applique to modern and everything in between! In this lecture, Lori will inspire you to pick up those template rulers and have fun designing and piecing fabulous quilts! Quilting templates have always been Lori’s “go-to” tools for piecing fast and fun quilts. The Diamond, Dresden & Drunkards’ Path templates are versatile tools which she has used to create literally dozens of different designs in quilts, accessories & wearable art!

January Guild Meeting

Join us for our next guild meeting on January 20 at 7 pm. Our program will be presented by Jared Monroe, from Polo IL. He will be discussing the history of spinning from drop spindles to the development of the spinning wheel; the variety of spinning wheels, and the 3 drive systems of spinning wheels.  He will end with demonstrations of drop spinning and spinning on a modern wheel.

November Guild Meeting

Our next guild meeting will be Monday, November 18th. We will start with our Holiday Potluck at 6 p.m. Join us, bring a dish to pass and your own tableware; drinks are provided. Or come just for the program at 7 p.m., which will be will be presented by Jill Shaulis of Yellow Creek Quilt Designs, located in Pearl City, IL. Her lecture will be “Through The Years At Yellow Creek Quilt Designs.” She is the designer of the Kindred Spirits fabric collection and pattern club. Jill lectures and teaches around the country, and has had many patterns published in magazines. We hope to see you!
